Residential quarter on the avenue 40 years of October is interesting because it is based on a planning principle inherent in the Stalinist era, but the construction fell for a transitional period of Soviet architecture, when NS Khrushchev declared the basic principle of
construction in the USSR – the rejection of the decorative component architecture in favor of functionalism. Disposition quarter, carried out in the years 1954-57, most fully reflected the idea of creating a complete ensemble of houses. Quarter is located on a site limited streets. The main facade of a residential group goes to the prospect 40 years of October, its distinguishing feature is a house with a high arch in the three stories, surmounted by a pediment. Central House is located inside the residential quarters of an open courtyard. It is interesting that the front group is facing a rather minor street district Lublin. But here we must recall the previous study on an ensemble of two-storey houses, in which the front part of the quarter came out in a similar way to the same prospect, but in the case of a front facade closed the perspective perpendicular to Prospect Street. The most likely reason for the chosen orientation of the residential group is probably the original master plan for the city: on which the main facade of the quarter should have been approached street connecting it to the main street of Lublin, Moscow light green. >>> Via
